Personal Experience:

The #01 Lady Brown was the perfect gift for me. The colours are chic and professional which can enhance my eyes naturally and beautifully. This is the most versatile combination which every girl should have. With this, you can look elegant from day to night.

As for #04 Aqua Squash, it is a vibrant sunshine weekend look which I would totally love if I can do it well. Unfortunately, after several attempts at it doesn’t seem to have the same effect as what the ZA models carry off. I looked like GONGFU PANDA. I guess I didn’t have the personality to carry it off plus I need better eye make-up skills unless someone can sponsor me a professional make up course =). And yes, perhaps, I am way too serious and ahem *mature* for Playful Splash like this. =)

As for the Groovy Cheeks Colours, I totally love the sugary candylicious shades that I can just bite into them. It is just too tempting. The fine textured cheeks colours creates natural glowing finish and dewy skin. Plus, the fact it contains Vitamin E to nourish the skin. How can I resist such dual benefits? Make up and Skin care in one!

I personally prefer #04 Apricot Pink as I am pretty tanned for a lady. Of course, I like Cheek Colour #05 as it is called JUNE BRIGHT. Fits me to a T. It is a highlighter that adds 3D effect and light to the skin just that I brighten up someone’s else day. It is a MUST HAVE.

I definitely love this range as it is fun, daring and the quality of the powder texture is seriously comparable to some of the higher end brands I am currently using at a more attractive price of course. The fine texture powder (With Brilliant Powder Complex) allows you to spread evenly and blend perfectly after repeated overlaying. It melts into the skin to achieve beautiful graduation allowing for a natural and gorgeous look.

Kinerase Event organised by Invida

This is one of the most exciting event for me as I understand that Kinerase® is suitable for all skin types and nurtures delicate skin after asethics procedures. This is fairly important to me as I have done chemical peels and laser treatments. Thus, products that exclusive to dermatologist and aesthetic documents will be of interest to me.

Saying that, it has been an exciting event as we also got to meet up Ms Valerie Lim (Ms Singapore 2011) on a upclose and personal level. Sitting beside a gorgeous beauty queen, I cannot help but feel smallish beside her. Fortunately, she is a very joyous and down to earth lady who shared her personal experience and observations after using Kinerase and of course some beauty tips. Reviews of the products tried?

I have checked with Dr. Sim (Medical director at Aesthetic Works) and mentioned that I am able to use the products as it is suitable to for sensitive and delicate skin.
At the moment, I have tried the gentle daily cleanser (milk and water based), the antioxidant mist, kinerase cream for my stomach stretch marks (instead of trying out on my face) and the eye cream.

I personally prefer the antioxidant mist (Product B)  which is hydrating enough for me and does not cause my skin to break out. My skin is a test for any sensitive skin out there. One wrong move and the next instant, I can see redness on skin.
Kinerase cream (Product D) does help smoothen out and lighten out my stretch mark after using it for 3 days. I will need to use it for a longer period of time to test the actual effectiveness and update again. :)  

Another favourite is the eye cream (Product E), my laugh lines (or so I call it) around the eye area was less obvious. Though in the first place, I do not have very deep "laugh lines" just subtle lines. The cream does help to make me eyes look more refreshed the next day even though I had less than 5 hours of beauty sleep.

Reviews and Effectiveness of the products tried and tested personally?

Hydradvance™ Light Cream
After using it in the mornings and before bedtime for 2 weeks, my skin definitely feels more hydrated with less laugh lines around the mouth and eyes area. Skin feels firmer with more moisture “implanted” in the skin. In my opinion, I would recommend Hydradvance Light Hydrating Cream for oily and combination skin like myself. Rating: 5/5. One of my favourite lightweight moisturer so far.

Hydra-Nourishing Mask
Especially good for days when you are having a late night out definitely. Make me looks fresh and dewy the next morning as if I had a full night of beauty rest.
I recommend alternating this hydrating mask with a clay mask twice weekly for oily and combination skin to keep blemishes at bay whilst keeping skin resilient and hydrated.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Series Mascara

What does it mean?

"Heroine" refers to a lady main character in a movie who is supposed to remain beautiful at all times regardless whether she is weeping or caught in a rain. This is perfect for ladies who love to remain gorgeous at all angles, all times.

Mascara - Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara (Black)
It was aware No 1 Mascara in Japan by @cosme's. Guess this is was not for nothing.

Pros
The perfect mascara for me - Beautifully lengthens and curls your lashes without clumps.
Lasted me for 14 hours in this insanely humid island with no smudge. I am totally blowed off.
Easy application with curved brush make daily application a breeze.
Lightweight without weighing my fine lashes down.
Great for weekend or dramatic "doll" look.

Cons
It is freaking tough to remove. An oil based eye make up remover is required or risk wiping till your lashes drop off.
Tough to use this for lower lashes. Fasio tiny brush work better for me.
Not suitable for office look - 2 coats of it made me look like I wanna party all night long!!

Living Right - A spot of trouble

Just sharing of information. Till the day I get blemish free and flawless skin, I will continue to battle against the war of ACNE..

Due to my recent outbreak of acne caused by hormones changes due to stress and lifestyle. I have read countless articles and some of the information would be pretty useful:

Research has found that women are now more susceptible to acne throughout 20s to 30s and beyond if they do not suffer from it during adolescence which was exactly what happened to me.
 
Main culprit - STRESS.
Main targets - Women whom are high fliers and high pressure jobs are most at risk, especially those who has to balance career and looking after a family. (Based on a study from Nantes University Hospital in France)
 
What causes Spots/ Acne/ Pimples and Blemishes?
They are caused by an excess of an oily substance called sebum released from tiny glands in the skin.
Sebum helps keep the skin moist moist and protected but when bacteria get into the skin's pores, the glands becomes infected and blocked.
The pressure from infection builds and forms a pus-filled bump on the skin - commonly known as a whitehead.

How does stress cause acne in women?
Stress triggers production of male hormone cortisol - also known as the stress hormones which in turn increases the production of oil, blocking the pores.
Women unfortunately are 3 times more likely to get adult acne as they are more sensitive to male hormones released.

What is the main problem?
Acne in older people are harder to treat because it is deeper under the skin.
The study also found out that 85% of women had acne attacks just before amd during their menses.

Old wives tales on oily or sugary food can lead to acne?
It may have an element of truth to it.
Foods with high glycaemic index can increase production of acne-triggering hormones.
A study in UK have found that women smokers are more prone to skin problems.
Nicotine can boost production of sebum but also deplete Vitamin E, vital for skin repair.
Thus, do NOT attempt to comfort eating and smoking to relieve stress.
Both could likely be adding to your skin woes.

Sad Fact?
Asian skin is more at risk due to a higher amount of skin pigmentation. This leads to higher risk of scarring shoudl acne be left untreated or worse when attempted to be solved via squeezing.
Whilst there are significantly higher solutions for such adult acne, a doctor's advice should be sought to find the right solution if other all methods such as facial fails.

Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai – Temples
Doi Suthep is a constant part of life in Chiang Mai. A Thai saying goes, "If you haven't tasted Khao Soi or seen the view from Doi Suthep, you haven't been to Chiang Mai." This regal mountain overlooks the city from the northwest, providing commanding views from its summit. Aside from its dominating presence on the horizon, Doi Suthep is the home of some of the most deeply loved symbols in the Kingdom.

Karen Long Neck Tribe & Chiang Dao Cave

Padung Village – Long Neck Ethnic Hill-tribe
Further up from Chiang Dao Cave, a visit to the Padung Village introduces you to the ‘Long Neck Karen’ ethnic hill-tribe. The women wear brass rings around their necks, wrists and ankles as part of their culture. It is a good idea to explore, with respect, the village a little to get a feel of their culture and way of life, before supporting their income by purchasing a few souvenirs.

Chiang Dao Cave – The Wonders of Nature

From the cave entrance, you will descend to a well-lit chamber (Tham Phra Nawn) which enshrines several Burmese-style Buddha images, guarded over by fearsome-looking lion figurines. This and the next chamber (Tham Sua Dao) are lit by electric lights. The other three accessible chambers, namely Tham Maa, Tham Kaew and Tham Naam, are pitch-black.
Apart from the stalactites and stalagmites, many are named after animals, the most magnificent is perhaps the frozen water walls (speleothems) formed by centuries of dripping water. High up on the cave walls are several sitting Buddha images set inside small niches. On the floor, sometimes carved into the wall, rest sleeping Buddha images adorned with layers of gold leaves.
You progress from one chamber to the next, following an oval loop and occasionally passing through narrow passages with very low ceilings and, sometimes, steep ascends, then exit the same way you enter.

The Nimmanheimin Road offers a compact and thorough shopping experience with the items on offer of consistently good value and a broad range of aesthetic appeals. If you enjoy carvings of status and paintings, it is truly a challenge for you to pick up the best pieces to decorate your home!!

Home Accessories and Furniture
The Night Bazaar consists of countless stalls packed along the sidewalks and spilling out into the street. Here you can find vendors selling almost anything you can think of. The selection is simply staggering and items on offer include CDs, DVDs, clothes, shoes, Thai silk, handicrafts, purses, wallets, watches, video games, luggage, home accessories, furniture, statues of aliens made from auto parts, spices, souvenirs, samurai swords, art, jewellery, silver and antiques. Quality varies from vendor to vendor but low prices mean you almost always get good value for your money. Note: Many of the items here are found in Holland Village at TRIPLE the price!! =)

It was just that one of the staff was very patient with my colleague and when we required assistance despite he was NOT the sales person who booked our package. You may have to check if he does the packages for Thailand or other areas instead.
